~  If you have very pale skin, stick to soft pastels with no brown in them.

~  If you have light skin, use pale pinks.  If you have medium skin, use sandy pinks.

~  If you have dark or black skin, choose deep rich colors like soft plum or deep bronze.

~  If you have yellow or olive skin, look for shades like pink, tawny, or rose, and stay away from peach and bronze.

~  The wrong blush will me you look dirty, bruised, or pasty.

~  Trying to change the shape of your eyes with  dark shadow is all you'll end up doing is making your eyes look smaller.  Contouring is a really advanced technique that some professional makeup artists haven't figured out.  You don't need to change the shape of your eyes.  Your eyes are pretty wonderful the way they are.

~  Too much eye liner will make you look like you tried too hard.

3.  Make a great stain by applying a bright or dark shade, then blotting most of it off.

4.  To make lip color last longer, use lip pencil on top of lipstick.

5.  Most modern mouth:  Sheer colors are the most modern and mistake-proof.  Try either pots or tubes.
