Iris Apfel was born as Iris Barrel in Astoria, Queens, New York in August 29, 1921. She is the only child of Samuel Barrel and Sadye Barrel. She studied art history at New York University and attended University of Wisconsin art school. Iris Apfel became famous in 2005, when the Metropolitan Museum of Art held an exhibition about her famous accessories. The exhibits celebrated Iris' ability to transform herself into worldly goddess through clothes and accessories. When you are young, you can take more
chances and show off your body. But
as you age, you can't fight gravity. If
you're 80 years old, nobody is going to
thing that you are 32 years old.
It is ridiculous vanity!

just because you think it's in or it's chic.
